Experienced, Well-Trained Care Staff

Avenue House is led by its dynamic Manager, Lynn Bennett, who is in charge of a qualified team of Nurses, Carers and Domestic staff, all of whom are dedicated to carrying out their duties 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Kelly has worked within the nursing and care industry for over 20 years. She began as a Care Assistant, before qualifying a mental health nurse in 1998. Kelly has worked in variety of different environments, including care homes, hospitals and community settings, primarily working with adults who are suffering from dementia, mental health problems and brain injuries. She also works alongside the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in an advisory capacity.

We actively and regularly invest in training our staff, offering encouragement and support as they undertake QCF qualifications and the new Care Certificate. Our aim isn't just to achieve the training requirements of the Care Quality Commission, but to exceed them. Avenue House consistently achieves a target of 75% of staff with QCF qualifications.

Continued in-house specialist Training

As well as our constant encouragement of continued development, our Care & Training Manager provides all members of staff with an extensive in-house induction, regular mandatory training and also, additional specialist training in many areas. We believe a regular training programme is fundamental to improving the care provided to all of our residents.
